Help Kailla Get Her Wheelchair
All proceeds go directly to her GoFundMe to support the purchase of her mobility device. Every donation brings her closer to independence and comfort. Thank you for your support!

Her story

Living with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), fibromyalgia, and a connective tissue disorder among other issues has made everyday activities incredibly challenging for me. Tasks like grocery shopping, attending events, and even participating in at-home chores has become difficult due to pain, fatigue, dizziness, instability, and a high heart rate among other symptoms.

To manage mobility, I currently mostly use a cane and a rollator. I also use the electric carts to shop at the grocery store but I often have the issue where all of the carts are taken leaving me without and having to suffer through the shopping trip and ultimately cutting it short because I can’t deal with the pain and other symptoms. As time goes on my body has continued to worsen, to where a cane or rollator are no longer enough for some days. I also have a standard hospital style wheelchair but the physical strain of using such a heavy and bulky chair makes movement more difficult and requires someone else to push me. I previously purchased a used ridged chair but it ended in disappointment when the frame turned out to be warped and cracked making it unsafe to use and leaving me out on the money I paid for it. I have spent over a year trying to find a different chair that would work for me within my budget to no avail.

This is why I am raising funds for a custom wheelchair that will provide the comfort, support, and mobility needed to regain some independence. A chair designed for my specific needs will make it easier to live my daily life with less pain and strain.

While I have managed to save $200 toward this goal, the full cost of a custom chair is still out of reach. To help raise additional funds, I am also selling vinyl decals and other items. Every contribution, whether through the GoFundMe or by purchasing a decal, brings me one step closer to making this much-needed wheelchair a reality.

With these funds I plan to purchase a brand new custom to my needs paradox project wheelchair from the company Not a Wheelchair (funny name for a place to get a wheelchair from I know), pay for the shipping of it and the extras I would need for it.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for your generosity. It truly means the world.
